CLEP College Credits

CLEP, also know as College-Level Examination Program, is probably the best way for a high school senior who is planning to attend a college and wanting to get some college credits in the shortest amount of time without having to spend their money by attending normal college courses.

At present, about 2900 colleges approve and accept CLEP credits and most do not even charge a fee for transferring the credits to your college transcript. It will cost you about $110 to take a CLEP exam and you can get credits for a college semester without actually having to take the course.

By taking the CLEP exams, you can earn credits by using the basic material that you have mastered and are knowledgeable in without actually having to take the class itself.

CLEP Preparation

CLEP exams are not as easy to pass as you would think! The CLEP exam will certainly make you dig deep at your knowledge. By spending the time to prepare for the CLEP exam, you can increase your chances of passing and getting those precious college credits. Of course, discipline and focus are the two major things you must have when preparing to take your exam. The motivation you have can be maintained by considering the time and money you will save.

At your fingertips today there are many online materials to help prepare you for your CLEP exam. There are free practice sample tests and study guides that you can use. They will give you a good idea of what to expect and what to study for before you take your exam. Also, you can purchase online, CLEP study guides that have the probable questions and answers that you will see on the actual exam.

Today, there are numerous websites available that have multiple options for studying for your CLEP exam. Be sure to search the web for all other possible ways you can study for your exam. The majority of these are absolutely free to use and will be extremely helpful.

The exam is a 90 minute, timed exam. They are usually multiple choice questions. You should pace your time accordingly so you can complete the entire exam, while still being sure to answer most of the questions correctly.

It is crucial to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, bring #2 pencils (in case your testing center does not use computers) and a working calculator with you on the day of your CLEP exam. Get there a little early so as to minimize any possible stress you may have.

By studying and preparing yourself for your CLEP exam, you can earn credits for your college years and save yourself quite a decent amount of money. So, good luck and let’s hope you pass that exam!
