It is a well known fact that in order to progress in one’s professional life one has to keep learning continuously. It is not always the degree that would get you a ticket to the higher levels of your profession. Instead it would be the certifications and valuable diplomas that you get.

If you are a person who is in the networking field and are aiming to move up, then the certification that you have to get is the CCNA certificate. It is a well acknowledged certification in the field of networking. It is issued by the networking giant Cisco. CCNA stands for Cisco certified network associate.

There are various skills that are gained by a person if he does a CCNA certification. He would know the basics of networking. He would have a very good knowledge about the ISO-OSI model, hubs, and switches. He would learn about the various types of networks and would also learn installation of these networks.

The course also concentrates upon the various protocols being used in the networking field. They also teach about the routing process and other aspects related to networking

The CCNA certification has a high regard among the network related companies because it covers almost all the basic aspects of networking such as the protocols, installation, various connecting devices such as hubs and switches. It is difficult exam to clear. But the exam can be cleared if you have good preparation for it.

One has to know about the syllabus of the course, then the course content, the books that have the course content, the websites offering tips to clear the exam.

In addition to al these one has to attend many practice exams before attending the actual CCNA exam. This is because there are many factors that are to be considered in a CCNA exam. When you attend a mock exam you get an idea about the questions that are going to be asked in the exam.

You would know on which subjects one should concentrate more. The difficult thing in such exams is time maintenance. While answering in a mock exam you would gain more idea on how to maintain time during the CCNA exam.

One of the best secrets to successfully completing the NCLEX is to practice on sample exams. Answering them will give you a feel of how it’s like to be actually taking the test. That way, you wouldn’t be surprised when you see those seemingly unfamiliar questions.

Practicing for the NCLEX is an effective study exercise for the exam. It will surely complement your study guides, review materials, review courses and the like in your quest to be a licensed nurse. Sample questions for the NCLEX work harmoniously alongside your reading materials.

There are many online and offline sources of sample questions for the exam that you should use. These NCLEX practice exams most of the time are developed by nursing faculty and practitioners. It is important that you choose wisely and separate the credible from the dubious sources of these materials.

Once you have your sample exams, then all you need to do is follow your review schedule and answer the sample tests thereafter. It also works as a sort of a diagnostics exam because it will tell you where you should focus your review.

Below are some tips on how to answer those practice exams:

Read the questions very carefully. In fact, you must read every word of a question in order to answer it successfully. Most of the time, qualifying words such as most, least, definitely, probably, except and the like have so much significance in your answer. These small but important words will help you determine the correct answer. Always take time to read the questions in its entirety. Scanning through them is not enough.

Try to avoid careless errors. Sometimes in our haste to move on to the next question, we tend to commit careless mistakes. These mistakes, if you add them up, leads to a substantial number of wrong answers. You wouldn’t want to have that in your actual NCLEX exams as it may prove disastrous to your bid in becoming a nurse.

Eliminate evidently wrong answers. The process of elimination will narrow down your choices to a few. Bear in mind that in the NCLEX, there are wrong or right answers. You cannot argue your way out of the exam, like in essay-types of tests.

One of the best non secret resources for grabbing your NCLEX practice exams from is http://www.nclexguides.com/ – make sure you check it out and grab some extra prep material!

When studying for an exam, the ultimate goal is to either pass or get the best possible grade. One of the difficult parts of taking an exam is that you don’t always know what to expect. Since you don’t know what exactly will be on the exam, it is hard to determine how much you should be studying.

Exactly how well do you need to know the material before you are fully prepared to take the exam? You might be putting in hundreds of hours studying when all you really needed to put in was the initial ten hours.

I have found that the best possible way to prepare for any given exam is to practice taking exactly what you think will be included on the test. If it is a multiple choice exam, practice taking multiple choice questions that would resemble the questions on the exam.

One of the reasons that this is a good idea is that you will be prepared for taking the actual exam, rather than just knowing the material really well. Obviously, knowing the material is very important, but being able to apply it to answering the questions of the test is key in your success.

I think that one of the fundamental problems with exams is that some exams are just poorly written. Even people who know know the material very well might fail because of ambiguous or confusing questions. For example, you may have taken an exam where some of the questions have more than one right answer, but you must select only one. You know that both are right, but how are you supposed to know which one the author likes better?

By taking a practice exam or two before going in for the real thing, you can better understand what they are looking for in the answers.

Here is an example: A football team prepares for their games in two ways. First, they make sure that they study and memorize all the plays they will be running. Second, and most importantly, they go out in practice and they run the plays over and over again.

They get the theories down and understand the fundamentals by studying and learning about their plays, but they really become able to perform well by actually doing what they will be doing when they are in the spotlight. If you entered a bowling tournament, you would practice bowling each day before going to the competition. You wouldn’t sit around and study bowling strategies and then try to implement them when the time comes.

Taking advantage of your practice exams is the best method to preparing for any sort of exam. Check online to see what sort of study guides offer practice exams for your test. If you absolutely can’t find some good practice exams, see if anyone who has taken the test before can give you an example of what kind of questions are asked. We all know that practice makes perfect, so the best thing that you can do before your exam is practice, practice, practice!

Author, Tom Noonan prides himself on being an excellent test taker. He knows how to be the most efficient when studying for an exam. His website, http://www.ExamPrepReviews.com, provides Study Guide Reviews for various exams.

Review Your Notes

After you finish your lecture, review your notes because it can be very tempting to kick back and relax. Or if you have another class after the one you finished, you may be rushing to get to your next class.

But when you do that, you’re losing an opportunity to reduce your studying time. After class, the best thing to do is to immediately review your notes.

This is because the material is fresh in your head. You’re able to quickly understand the material and help get it into your long-term memory.

But when you wait until later to review your notes, such as when you get home, it’ll take longer to understand the material. You’ll need to spend some time trying to refresh your memory on what was taught in class.

It’s better to save your time from doing that and take advantage of the opportunity to simply look at your notes immediately after class. Even if you have to go straight to your next class, spending just 2 or 3 minutes with them is still beneficial.

Review Your Notes – Make It A Habit

If you establish this as a habit, you’ll save a lot of time. For instance, let’s say it takes you 15 minutes to refresh your memory when you study your notes at home. You have 3 classes a week for this one course. So that’s 45 minutes a week, 180 minutes a month, or 540 minutes per semester (assuming that final exams start in the fourth month).

You’ll be losing 9 hours per semester. If you take 3 courses, that’s 27 hours lost. With 5 courses, that’s 45 hours lost.

But if you establish the habit of browsing your notes immediately after class, you’ll be saving those hours.
